Seriously, I’d love to be in the board meeting some time when Anchor Bay decides that what the world needs is yet another DVD edition of one of Sam Raimi’s Evil Dead films. Seriously, there are about a hundred of them by now and here comes another one, though in their defense this does seem to be a rather good one. Releasing December 18th the Evil Dead Ultimate Edition is a three disc set that includes the widescreen version of the film, the original full frame version of the film, deleted scenes, a stack of new features and a bucket of blood. Well, no, no bucket but the rest is really there. Looks to be a nice package but at this point I’m still pretty happy with my squishy Necronomicon version and it’d take including the original short test film - Into the Woods - that Raimi and co shot to raise funds to make The Evil Dead for me to even consider shelling out for another edition. And just think ... now we get to do this all again on HD and Blu Ray! Huzzah!

Il me semble que c'etait "Within the woods" le titre du court metrage realise par Raimi dont Evil Dead reprend grosso modo la trame.

Flute les bonus ont l'air vraiment super :s mwé, j'attendrais une edition HD (et que je soit équipé en HD) avant de me pencher dessus, même si ça me fait salement envie ^^

Anchor Bay n'a plus les droits du film. Bruce campbell le dit ici et se moque des nombreuses éditions sorties

Les bluray Anchor Bay/Starz peuvent être zonés ("The Man From Earth") ou pas zonés (cf. "Zombie" ou "Le jour des morts-vivants"), cela dépend...

En tout cas, je me souviens l'avoir revu au cinoche au débuts des années 2000 et certains plans étaient méchamment flous.
J'ai tout de suite pensé que le problème venait de la copie du film diffuée par le cinéma mais j'ai ensuite appris que le tournage du film n'a pas été de tout repos ce qui peut expliquer aussi certains problèmes techniques.
D'ailleurs, il me semble que le film a été tourné en 16 mm. Est-ce que quelqu'un sait ce que donne le 16 mm sur blu-ray ? (la question est peut être débile d'ailleurs )
