un coupain m'avais enregistré quelques épisodes de ce dessins animé (j'ai depuis perdu la vhs) et j'en garde un très bon souvenir de ces quelques épisodes. Tout à l'heure, je suis tombé sur un coffret Z1 en vente sur amazon. Quelqu'un sait si ça vaut le coup ? si c'est bien comme dvd etc...

Ca vaut tres tres largement le coup, surtout si tu connais le comic book.
Tu y retrouveras les 3 seules saisons tournees (en attendant une eventuelle relaunch de la serie qui ne saurait tarder).

Bien plus sombre et fidele au comic book que l'ignoble film...

j'ai très peu lu les comics mais ça me bottait pas mal... j'avais commencé la serie de spawn dark age mais j'ai pas continué...

en fait, j'ai un peu de mal à suivre une série.. bah oui, je suis comme ça.. mais le dessin animé c'était vraiment sombre et tout... très bon ... je risque de craquer un de ces 4

Je le trouve pas mal cette série, aussi sombre que la bd certe, mais je l'ai trouvé aussi un peu chiante... les plans trainent de trop et pour la violence, il y en a pas énormément ...

Todd McFarlane Productions is best known for its multiple Emmy-winning Spawn franchise. IDT Entertainment is a vertically integrated entertainment/animation company. The company includes animation and film production through DPS/Film Roman, Mainframe Entertainment and DKP Effects, and video distribution through Anchor Bay Entertainment. The initial project is the return of Todd McFarlane’s Spawn: The Animated Series. Spawn is the story of a highly decorated U.S soldier, brutally executed by his own men. Reborn as a creature from hell, he fights a constant battle between the forces of good and evil. The first Spawn series aired on HBO from 1997 through 1999 and won two Emmy awards. Spawn, one of the world's best-selling comic books with hundreds of millions sold worldwide, has also been the subject of a live-action feature film released in 1997. Distributed by New Line Cinema, the movie has grossed over $100 million internationally.

"This agreement is better than marvelous," said Jim Courter, IDT’s CEO. "Worldwide, the demand for a new Spawn series continues to grow. With IDT Entertainment as the animation partner the new series will be even better."

Grammy- and Emmy-winning Producer/Director Todd McFarlane will oversee all aspects of development and production, as executive producer. Terry Fitzgerald, senior vice president of creative development of Todd McFarlane Productions, will serve as co-executive producer and Sidney Clifton, senior vice president and head of programming and development for DPS Film Roman, will lead the creative development team on the IDT Entertainment side. DPS Film Roman is the IDT Entertainment company known for its award-winning production work on The Simpsons, King of the Hill and other popular broadcast television programs.

"Ever since the Spawn animated series left HBO in 1999, I have been asked -- almost daily -- when the show is going to return," said Todd McFarlane, Spawn creator and CEO of the McFarlane Companies. "I’ve been waiting for the right opportunity to not only bring the show back, but also do it with the intent of making it better creatively than its first incarnation. Teaming up with IDT Entertainment’s DPS/Film Roman will allow us to take it to the next level of animation technology."

In addition to Spawn, McFarlane will create two additional animated properties. J'aime beaucoup cet anime qui rend enfin justice au personnage de Spawn, bien mieux que l'espèce de pub infâme pour jouet Mattel qu'est le film.

Le dessin anime est sombre et violent. Le doublage est trés correct, et la voix de Spawn envoie bien comme il faut

Seul bémol, une animation pas au top, mais l'ambiance reste excellente.

Un réel plaisir. Le coffret 4 disques est trés bien, et au prix où il est vendu, ne te retiens surtout pas.

Oui, c'est clair qu'un clown qui se paluche sur un cadavre dès le premier épisode, c'est pas très violent dans un dessin animé...

Non, mis à part l'animation qui est un peu à la ramasse, la série est très bonne, le coffret est pas cher, y'a des STF sur les 4 galettes et rien que pour la voix de Spawn, il le fô !

Metropolitan annonce "SPAWN -DESSIN ANIMÉ" pour le 28 octobre, je suppose que c'est la sortie française de la série...

Ah p...tain !!! Je prie pour que cette info soit bonne. Si c'est le cas, champagne !

Je m'explique. Je suis un fan de Spawn : j'ai tous les n° et Hors-série de la VF. J'ai lu bcq de bien sur ce DA. J'ai le film en DVD (hé, 'pas de commentaires, je sais bien qu'il est tout pourri ce film...) et en bonus y a un extrait dans la partie "Prochainement en DVD". Okay, mais j'ai cherché et y a rien en DVD Zone 2.
Alors si c'est pour bientôt, 'z'on déjà un acheteur d'assuré.
