C'est bizarre, le Criterion offre plus d'image que le Section23 mais il paraît moins défini. Et comme ils casent deux films par disque, le bitrate est moins bon.
J'ai reçu le coffret Criterion et du coup j'ai comparé avec l'édition précédente pour quelques titres.
- King Kong vs Godzilla US : le Criterion est issu du même master que le Universal mais est retravaillé un peu au niveau des contrastes et certains plans qui avaient l'air un peu forcés niveau piqué (edge enhancement?) sont maintenant plus agréables. Je préfère le Criterion.
- Hedorah et Gigan : même source que les Kraken mais le Criterion est dégrainé et les contrastes retravaillés. Plus agréable à voir mais paraît moins détaillé par moments. Dans le doute je garde les Kraken, je me referai une opinion plus tard. Autre chose : Les Kraken étaient légèrement recadrés pour cacher des lignes qui apparaissent en bas de l'écran à certains changements de plans, contrairement au Criterion qui offre plus d'image mais fait apparaître ces lignes qui flashent. C'est vraiment subliminal, c'est pas encore trop dérangeant.
Pas encore mais il me fait de l'oeil, idem avec le gros box Al Adamson, problème le prix est un gros gros frein.. sera t'il dans une prochaine promo Arrow ? je doute..
mais je vois bien Arrow ressortir le box sans livret pour moins cher une fois qu'ils auront plumé les 2000 1ers pigeons..
