Le film avait eu quelques bons papiers à l'époque de sa présentation à Avoriaz 1978 (l'année où LE CERCLE INFERNAL obtint le Grand Prix ) et fait partie de la liste des 13 films d'horreurs méconnus à regarder pour Halloween, selon Slant Magazine:
