Mis à part les habitués du premier épisode (Sig "Big Doll House" Haig, Bill "TCM 2" Moseley, Sheri "Mrs Rob Zombie" Moon), il comprendra d'autres "gueules" du cinéma comme Ken Foree (Zombie), Michael Berryman (La Colline a des Yeux), Steve Railsback (Helter Skelter, Ed Gein), Danny Trejo (Une Nuit en Enfer, Les Ailes de l'Enfer), Tyler Mane (Dents de Sabre dans X-Men), William Forsythe (The Rock). Kane "Jason" Hodder règlera les cascades et PJ Soles (Carrie, Halloween) sera dans les rôles féminins. Par contre Karen Black ne reprendra pas son rôle apparemment...
Foree jouera le rôle du frère macro du Captain Spaulding (Sid Haig) et Berryman sera son sidekick. Tyler Mane incarnera le cousin Rufus.
La suite commence là où le premier s'arrete *** SPOILERS *** la famille Firefly en cavale est traquée par des chasseurs de prime. Notamment par Trejo et Forsythe qui joue le frère revanchard du sherif tué dans le premier opus. Il est aussi question d'un face à face avec une famille encore plus barjo... *** FIN DES SPOILERS ***
La production démarre à la fin de l'été avec un budget supérieur à l'original.
Quelques déclarations de Rob Zombie :
For horror movies, what is usually the downfall is when you have evil characters returning. They tend to get more loveable with each return until they're not scary at all. I love Captain Spaulding, I think he's a great character, but if he continues on that direction then he'll be this guy with funny one liners. I want to turn everything in the opposite direction and make him a much meaner, more unlikeable character, as with everybody else.
It's not going to be 'House of 1,000 Corpses II' or anything like that...I wanted to so something like Star Wars, where you have that first film and then you have The Empire Strikes Back. You get a totally different thing. It's truly the sequel to the movie, but it's a continuation of the story, not just the same story again.
It's a very different film. It's much darker and more serious. It's a gritty crime movie like [the 1973 Terrence Malick film] 'Badlands'. There's nothing campy or wacky at all. Everything that was alluded to in 'Corpses' has been found out in the house...the house is raided by a SWAT team, and it all goes bad from there.
Voilà. Ayant adoré le premier (à quand une sortie française ?), j'attends celui là avec impatience.
